Breathes his last in Vatican City at the age of 88
Pope Francis, the supreme religious leader of Christians, has died. Pope Francis breathed his last on Monday, April 21, 2025, at the age of 88 in his residence at Casa Santa Marta in the Vatican.
On Easter Day at 9:45 am on Monday, Cardinal Kevin Farrell, Camerlengo of the Apostolic Chamber, addressed the people at Casa Santa Marta, saying that at 7:35 am today, Francis, Bishop of Rome, returned to the Father's house.
It said that Pope Francis' entire life was dedicated to serving the Lord and his Church. He taught us to live values with fidelity, courage and universal love, especially in favor of the poorest and most marginalized. Pope Francis, who was suffering from kidney disease for a long time, was on ventilator for several days last month. He was suffering from a serious disease of double pneumonia. The death of Pope Francis has caused a wave of grief in the Catholic community around the world.
