On Sunday, Congress targeted BJP over the controversial remarks of BJP MP Nishikant Dubey and former Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Dinesh Sharma on the Supreme Court. Along with this, Congress also made many serious allegations against BJP and said that BJP President JP. Nadda distancing himself from these statements is just damage control, while the real question is why no action was taken against both the MPs.

Let us tell you that BJP MP Nishikant Dubey had questioned the Supreme Court and said that if the law has to be made by the Supreme Court, then Parliament and Legislative Assemblies should be closed. He also directly targeted CJI Sanjeev Khanna and said that he is creating a situation like civil war in the country. At the same time, former Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma had said that no one can give orders to Parliament and the President.

Jairam Ramesh accuses BJP

Congress General Secretary (Communication) Jairam Ramesh posted on social media platform 'X' and wrote that Nadda's clarification does not matter after the inhumane remarks of BJP MPs on the Supreme Court and the Chief Justice of India (CJI).

Ramesh also alleged that these MPs are repeatedly caught in hate speeches and the BJP leadership (G2) deliberately uses them to target institutions and individuals. He also raised the question whether the BJP has sent show cause notices to these MPs and should Prime Minister Modi's silence not be considered as tacit support to these statements?

Congress asked sharp questions

Jairam Ramesh bluntly said that such repeated remarks by BJP MPs are an attack on democracy and the Constitution. He also asked that if the BJP completely disagrees with these remarks, then why is it not taking action against the two MPs?

BJP distanced itself from the statement

Seeing the growing heat in the matter, BJP President JP Nadda issued a statement on Saturday saying that the comments of MPs Nishikant Dubey and Dinesh Sharma are personal and the party has nothing to do with them. He also said that the BJP respects the judiciary and never supports such comments. Nadda also instructed the party leaders to avoid such comments in future.
