Police's 'Operation Nix 2.0' on illegal liquor
39 distilleries raided simultaneously

Katni, Katni police has taken major action against illegal liquor business in Katni district and conducted a massive raid under 'Operation Nix 2.0'. In the action taken simultaneously in different areas of the district, 39 illegal liquor distilleries were raided, which has created panic among the illegal liquor mafia.
For this campaign, 16 special teams were formed under the leadership of 8 station in-charges. These teams raided different places simultaneously and seized a large amount of illegal liquor and related material. Which includes 197.82 liters of country made illegal liquor, 12.24 liters of foreign illegal liquor, 13 liters of hand-made liquor, total illegal liquor seized is 249.38 liters, whose total market value is Rs 1 lakh 25 thousand 910. Under this operation, 39 accused have been arrested and 26.32 liters of lahan has been seized. Through this extensive campaign run by Katni Police, a clear message has been given that no person involved in illegal liquor manufacturing and sale will be spared. This campaign, run under the supervision of Superintendent of Police Abhinay Vishwakarma, was carried out equally in both the city and rural areas. Such a large and coordinated action against illegal liquor business has not only shown the activism of the police, but has also created an atmosphere of security and trust among the general public. Now it remains to be seen how the administration takes this campaign forward more strictly.
