Police team launched checking campaign in Saharanpur
Silver caught from car during checking, worth around Rs 16 lakh 15 thousand

Saharanpur. Under the direction of Senior Superintendent of Police, Saharanpur, Dr. Vipin Tada, in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha General Elections-2024, the crime control and suspicious person/vehicle checking campaign is being conducted under the close supervision of Superintendent of Police Rural and Area Officer Sadar and Police Station Incharge. Fatehpur police station, under the able leadership of Dharmendra Kumar, during checking, the Fatehpur police team checked a vehicle KIA no. UK08BE3159 and the passenger in the said vehicle was Pranab Jain, son of Abhay Jain, n/o Chhatta Jambodas H.NO.10/6364, 18 Kgs from Police Station Mandi, Saharanpur. Silver worth 924 grams (worth around Rs 16 lakh 15 thousand) was recovered, in relation to which no satisfactory answer and evidence could be presented by the said person. Regarding which FST team and Income Tax Department were informed. FST team and Income Tax Department were informed regarding the recovered silver and vehicle. Due to the election code of conduct being in effect, the above mentioned silver is being seized and necessary legal action is being taken as per the rules. The police team that recovered silver from the car included Dharmendra Singh, incharge of police station Fatehpur district Saharanpur, Inspector Vijendra Singh of police station Fatehpur district Saharanpur, Inspector Vipin Kumar of police station Fatehpur district Saharanpur, Rishipal of police station Fatehpur district Saharanpur, Inspector Atul Kumar in-charge of SST team, Nitin.
