Anuppur, today on 17.10.24, information was received from an informer that 01 tractor trolley is coming from Chhilpa side towards village Funaga after transporting illegal sand minerals excavated from Gogaru Nala. Taking the information sensitively, Funaga police promptly stopped the said tractor at the place mentioned by the informer. Based on the identification of the informer, Isar blue colour tractor no. On asking the name and address of the tractor driver of MP 18 AA 6051 he told his name to be Ashok Kumar Mahara s/o Babulal Mahara age 35 years resident of Saddi police station Kotma district Anuppur and on asking the name and address of the tractor owner he told his name to be Sunil Kumar Mishra s/o Baijnath Mishra age 36 years resident of Saddi police station Kotma. On asking for documents regarding the sand loaded in the tractor he told that he did not have any valid documents only his driving license. 03 cubic meter sand worth Rs. 5,000/- in the tractor trolley and tractor trolley worth Rs. 600000/- total booty worth Rs. 605000/- have been seized in front of witnesses. A case has been registered against the accused under crime number 357/24 sections 303(2), 317(5) BNS and 4/21 of the Mines and Minerals Act and sections of the Motor Vehicle Act and taken up for investigation.
