Anuppur, 51-year-old Uday Narayan Singh Baghel, father late Shankar Singh, resident of MPEB Colony Shahdol, a secondary teacher PTI in-charge principal Khamraudh, who tore apart the sacred relationship of Guru-Shishya, was arrested and presented in the court, from where he was sent to jail. It should be known that the case was serious and very sensitive and the victim student demanded the arrest of the accused principal within 48 hours, Superintendent of Police Motiur Rahman formed an 11-member SIT team under the leadership of Additional Superintendent of Police Israr Mansoori to catch the accused. Who was continuously raiding every possible location and was arrested from Shahdol-Anuppur main road. It is known that for catching him, IG Shahdol had announced a reward of 30 thousand and Superintendent of Police had announced a reward of 5 thousand rupees.

On the arrest of the accused of rape, on 29th August, Superintendent of Police Motiur Rahman gave information regarding the arrest of the Principal in-charge of raping the student in a press conference in the police office auditorium. He told that the student had met the Principal in-charge Uday Narayan Singh Baghel in Government Higher Secondary School Khamraudh under Karanpathar police station at around 4 pm on 23rd August to fill the open examination form for class 12th. Where he left to take the student to Shahdol in his four-wheeler in the name of getting the form filled and took the student to the school of Daldali village and from there to Padmaniya School Old School Building and first forcibly made the student drink alcohol and then raped her and left me in Shahdol at around 12 noon on 24th August. From where I reached my home in the evening by boarding a bus and after informing my family about the entire incident, I reached Karanpathar police station on 26th August and registered a case of rape against the Principal in-charge.

Superintendent of Police Motiur Rahman said that raids were conducted at every possible place to arrest the accused principal, but the team had to work harder to arrest the accused Uday Narayan Singh Baghel as he was quite controversial in his family and society. Along with this, the SP also visited Government Uma Vidyalaya Padaniya and made the students studying there aware about sexual crimes.
