Police arrested a drug smuggler during checking

Saharanpur | Deoband, Deoband Kotwali Police has arrested a drug smuggler during checking. Police has recovered more than 338 grams of smack from him. Its price in the international market is said to be Rs 50 lakh. SP Rural Sagar Jain said that Deoband Kotwali Police was checking on Deoband-Bhanheda road. During this, a bike rider coming from Deoband was stopped and questioned, when his words seemed suspicious, he was checked. During checking, 338.34 grams of illegal smack was recovered from him. The arrested accused is Sajid son of Aflatoon, a resident of village Ghatampur of Nakud police station area of the district. Sagar Jain said that during interrogation, the accused told that he was bringing the said smack from Gujjarwada of Gangoh police station area. He was going towards Jhabreda in Uttarakhand to supply it. According to him, Sajid has already been jailed on various charges including drug smuggling. Devband Kotwali in-charge Sunil Nagar said that 338.34 grams of smack (international estimated price Rs 50 lakh) and a motorcycle used in the incident have been recovered from the possession of the accused. On the basis of arrest and recovery, FIR No. 653/24 Section 8/21/29/60 NDPS Act was registered against the accused at Devband police station. The accused has also been jailed from different police stations of the district in the past. Information about the criminal history of the accused is being collected. Other necessary legal action is being taken against the arrested accused and he is being presented before the honorable court.
