Damoh. Damoh police have achieved a major breakthrough in the case of a robbery worth lakhs of rupees that took place in Sukhi Piparia village of the Narsinghgarh outpost area by arresting two absconding accused. Gold and silver jewellery and cash have been recovered from the accused. A total of Rs 16.70 lakh worth of property has been seized in the case so far.
According to the police, Ranu Patel, resident of Ber Kishunganj (Damoh Rural Police Station), and Deepak alias Deepu Bansal, resident of Ward No. 1, Patharia, who were absconding in Crime No. 440/2026, were arrested from Katni-Mudwara. During interrogation, two gold chains (approximately 18 grams), a gold belt (approximately 42 grams), and Rs 20,000 in cash were recovered at the information provided by the two accused. The value of this seizure is estimated to be approximately Rs 8.20 lakh.

Earlier, the police had arrested two other accused and seized property worth approximately ₹8.50 lakh, including gold and silver jewelry and a motorcycle. A total of ₹16.70 lakh has been recovered from both operations.

Investigation revealed that eight criminal cases were already registered against the arrested accused, Ranu Patel, and 14 against Deepak alias Deepu Bansal. Both were produced in court and sent to jail in judicial custody.

Police investigations have also revealed the involvement of Rohit Ahirwar and his accomplice, Monu. The search for the two absconding accused is ongoing. Special police teams are conducting raids in various states.
