Lalbarra, Pola festival was celebrated with great pomp in village panchayat Kajai which comes under district panchayat. On Pola festival, clay bulls and toys are also worshipped on the day of the festival. Traditional dishes like Thethri, Khurmi are prepared on Pola festival. Pola festival is considered to be the biggest festival of farmers. Pola festival holds special importance for farmers and agricultural labourers. It is said that bulls are like sons of farmers. Farmers especially worship bulls on Pola festival. Bulls play an important role in farming. On Pola festival, farmers worship bulls and express respect towards them. While talking to the media, village panchayat Kajai Sarpanch Shri Anand Bisen said that on Pola, every farmer should decorate his bulls and leave his house with music and first of all worship at Shri Hanuman temple, then reach Akhar Chowk near the water tank on the highway road where all the people applied Tilak to the bulls and bull owners and farmers celebrated Pola festival. Couplets were also recited regarding the bull which made the people present happy and after worshipping the bulls were also made to run, after which the farmers took the bulls from house to house and fed them sweets and worshipped them, where all the people of the village were present.
