PM Modi honoured with Kuwait's highest honour
'The Order of Mubarak Al Kabir'
Kuwait, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been conferred Kuwait's highest honour 'Order of Mubarak Al Kabir' today. This is the 20th international honour given to Prime Minister Modi by any country. This honour is given to heads of state, foreign rulers and members of foreign royal families as a symbol of friendship.
This honour has previously been given to leaders like Bill Clinton, Prince Charles and George Bush. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was given a formal guard of honour at Kuwait's Bayan Palace. Kuwait's Emir, Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, was also present at the ceremony.
Prime Minister Modi has arrived in Kuwait on a two-day visit at the invitation of Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. This is the first visit of an Indian Prime Minister to Kuwait in 43 years. Prime Minister Narendra Modi held extensive talks with Kuwait's Emir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Sunday, focusing on giving new impetus to India-Kuwait relations, especially in the areas of trade, investment and energy.
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was awarded Bhutan's highest civilian award 'Order of the Druk Gyalpo'. He is the first head of a foreign government to receive this honor.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited a labor camp in Kuwait on Saturday. PM Modi visited the Gulf Spic Labor Camp in Kuwait's Mina Abdullah area, in which about 1,500 Indian citizens are employed. During this, PM Modi talked to the workers.
Earlier on December 21, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was given a grand welcome by the Indian community when he arrived at the hotel in Kuwait City on Saturday afternoon. PM Modi has arrived here on his historic two-day visit at the invitation of the Emir of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Kuwait on Saturday afternoon. He became the first Indian PM to visit the Gulf country in 43 years. PM Modi also said that he is confident that his visit will further strengthen the special relations and bonds of friendship between the people of India and Kuwait.
