Saharanpur. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 23 projects worth 6700 crores related to health, education, sports, tourism, employment, housing, aviation, including civil enclave in Sarsawa Airport, built at a cost of 54.56 crores in Saharanpur, from Sigra Stadium in Varanasi. A pandal was set up in the premises of Civil Airport Sarsawa. In which a live telecast of the inauguration of the airport by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was shown on a large LED screen. Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the civil enclave built in Sarsawa Airport from Varanasi, the new terminal building of Rewa Airport in Madhya Pradesh, the new terminal building of Maa Mahamaya Airport of Ambikapur in Chhattisgarh. Along with this, the foundation stone was laid for the expansion of the terminal building of Varanasi airport as well as the airports in Agra, Darbhanga in Bihar and Bagdogra airport in Siliguri, Bengal. The civil airport in Sarsawa has been built on 65 acres, which will have boarding passes, canteen, passenger lounge and offices etc. An apron (platform) has been built to park two aircraft simultaneously. There will be parking arrangements for 50 cars. A 1.5 km long four-lane straight road with divider has been constructed from near village Ahmedpur Sarsawa to the civil airport on Roorkee-Panchkula National Highway-344. In the program, Electronics and Information Technology Minister and District In-charge Minister Sunil Kumar Sharma congratulated the people of the district on the inauguration of the airport and appreciated the efforts of the public representatives. He said that initially flights will be taken from Sarsawa airport to Ghaziabad and Moradabad. After this, air travel will be arranged as per requirement. He said that with the construction of the airport, tourism in the area will develop and new employment opportunities will be created. He said that the central and state governments are touching new heights in the field of development every day. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's dream of a person wearing slippers travelling by air is being fulfilled today in the whole of India. Today the state and the country are changing and moving forward. Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Industrial Development Jaswant Saini said that today is a very happy occasion for the people of the district that their long-standing demand has been fulfilled. Under the leadership of the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister, the country is progressing in every field. The number of airports in the country is going to exceed 150. Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, the country will become an economy of 3 trillion by 2027. In which, by creating an economy of 1 trillion under the leadership of the Chief Minister, it will become the growth engine of the country's development. Today, due to the better law and order and infrastructure of Uttar Pradesh, entrepreneurs from other states are also investing in the state.
