Piyush Goyal takes a dig at Congress for failing to open its account in four states.
AI shared a picture of Rahul Gandhi and wrote, 'Check the zero, brother'
New Delhi. After Congress failed to win a single seat in the Legislative Council elections in four states, Union Minister Piyush Goyal has targeted Rahul Gandhi. On Wednesday, Goyal shared an image generated by Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the social media platform X, through which he took a dig at the electoral performance of Congress. In these elections held in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar and Karnataka, Congress had fielded candidates on a total of 28 seats, but the party could not win any seat. After the election results were announced, BJP leaders started cornering Congress.

A photo shared by Piyush Goyal depicts Rahul Gandhi as a petrol pump employee. The names of Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar, and Karnataka are written on the petrol pump, while the meter shows "0.00." This is a dig at the Congress party for failing to win a single seat. Goyal captioned the photo, "Check the zero, brother." This post by BJP leaders is being seen as part of a social media campaign targeting the Congress party after the election results.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other BJP leaders also criticized the Congress party following the election results. They also targeted the Congress party's questions about the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and its demand for ballot papers. The BJP argued that Congress's defeat in these ballot papers raises questions about the opposition's allegations regarding the election process. However, political rhetoric between the two parties has intensified over Congress's defeat in these four state elections.
Nirmala Sitharaman also targeted Rahul Gandhi
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman also responded to Rahul Gandhi's remarks on Wednesday, accusing him of making political allegations. The controversy erupted after Rahul Gandhi claimed that the Tata Group was being "criminally ruined." In response, Sitharaman wrote on Instagram that the opposition leader should refrain from politicizing every issue. She also objected to the criminalization of business and legal matters without sufficient basis.
What did Rahul Gandhi say about the Tata Group?
Rahul Gandhi alleged that the country's businesspeople were being used as "toys" by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Referring to the Tata Group, he claimed that the group was being criminally harmed and that business leaders were avoiding speaking openly on the issue. He questioned the silence of the businesspeople, asking how long they would remain silent and whether they would wait until their businesses spiraled out of their control. Following Rahul Gandhi's statement, the Finance Minister retorted to his comments.
