Damoh, the country is entering its 78th year of independence, the celebration of the country's independence was seen again in the city after so many years when NCC cadets were marching in a rally with a 78 feet long tricolor from the Tehsil ground today in the presence of former Finance Minister and Damoh MLA Jayant Kumar Malaiya and under the leadership of Collector Sudhir Kumar Kochar. People were walking in the rally with great enthusiasm shouting slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai, Vande Mataram. Police band, police force, NCC, Jan Abhiyan Parishad along with various social organizations celebrated independence by waving the tricolor and hoisted the flag of enthusiasm and zeal in Damoh city. MLA Jayant Kumar Malaiya flagged off the Tiranga Rally and paid floral tribute to the picture of brave son Chandra Shekhar Azad at Bank Chauraha. Flowers were offered before the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at Ghantaghar and the statue of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar at Hospital Chowk. The rally was welcomed by various organisations at various places. When the Tiranga Rally reached Tehsil Ground, the oath of 'Jhanda Har Ghar' was taken and the programme concluded with the national anthem 'Jana-Gana-Mana'. BJP District President Pritam Singh Lodhi, Narendra Bajaj, District President Preeti Kamal Singh Thakur, Shikha Jain, Superintendent of Police Shrutkirti Somvanshi, Divisional Forest Officer MS Uike, Additional Collector Meena Masram, Additional SP Sandeep Mishra, SDM RL Bagri, CSP Abhishek Tiwari, Prime Minister Road General Manager KC Kori, CEO District Poonam Dubey, Narmada Singh Ekta, Varsha Raikwar, Dheeraj Kumar Ahirwal, Prince Jain, Santosh Rohit, Krishna Patel along with officers of other social organizations, students, teachers and common people were present. In the Tiranga Rally, Chhatra Kranti Dal, Gayatri Parivar, Rotary Club, Vyapari Sangh, Bhartiya Jain Milan, Mahila Jain Milan, Kurmi Kshatriya Samaj, Brahmakumari Ashram, Jan Abhiyan Parishad, Parivartan & Health Education Welfare Society Imlai and all the institutions, BJP Mahila Morcha, Youth Morcha, Chhatra Kranti Dal, Veshya Mahasangh, Raikwar Samaj, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Ahirwar Suryavanshi Jatav Samaj and other social organizations participated and welcomed the rally by showering flowers.
Scout Guide, NCC. School students, Shaurya Dal and Disaster Management Team also participated in the rally. On this occasion, the program was conducted by Dr. Alok Sonwalkar, Pt. Vipin Choubey and Sunil Vegetarian. Jan Abhiyan Parishad coordinator Sushil Namdev participated in the rally along with social organizations.
