Patanjali Foods' revenue was Rs 8154 crore
21 percent jump in profit, announcement of giving dividend of Rs 8 / share
Yoga guru Baba Ramdev's Patanjali Foods has announced the results of the second quarter of the financial year 2024-25 and the company's profit has jumped by 21.38 percent in this quarter. In the second quarter, the company has made a profit of Rs 308.97 crore, which was earlier Rs 255 crore in the second quarter of the financial year. Patanjali Foods has also announced an interim dividend of Rs 8 per share to the shareholders. The record date for payment of dividend to the shareholders has been fixed on November 4, 2024.
Patanjali Foods' revenue from operations was Rs 8154.19 crore and EBITDA was Rs 493.86 crore. Revenue from food and FMCG segment stood at Rs 2303.66 crore. The company said that in the first quarter of FY 2024-25, revenue from operations stood at Rs 15,327.25 crore, in which EBITDA margin increased by 6.06 per cent and PAT margin by 3.71 per cent.
Announcing the quarterly results, the company said that despite the challenging conditions in the food and FMCG and edible oil segments, the company's performance in the second quarter has been excellent and the revenue has jumped by 4.25 per cent to Rs 8154 crore. The company said that after the company came to Patanjali Group, EBITDA has been the highest in this quarter at Rs 493.86 crore.
Patanjali Foods said that due to heavy rains, consumer sentiment has been indifferent in the second quarter. Despite this, there has been a great growth in consumption in rural areas as compared to urban areas. The company said that despite the price of edible oil remaining in the range throughout the quarter, there has been an increase in prices in recent days. The company said that it has also exported its products to 21 countries and the export revenue has been Rs 34.55 crore.
According to Patanjali Foods, after getting approval from the board in this quarter, the Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved the acquisition of PAL's Home and Personal Care Business on 8 October 2024.
