Balaghat, you can see for yourself how the government funds are being misused in tribal areas and how people are being misled in the name of development work and the concerned officials are pretending to be ignorant even after knowing the truth, that too for the sake of some commission, the bridge was also constructed there but the concerned official has not taken any action.
We are talking about Sijora village under Baihar Janpad Panchayat where the Sarpanch Secretary has misused the Panchayat funds for his own benefit. This bridge has no means of transport and this bridge is built in the field where no one can see it and the bridge is also built in such a way that it cannot withstand heavy rain.

For the sake of commission, the culvert has been constructed in the field itself, which smells of corruption and the bridge can collapse anytime. The villagers have demanded an inquiry into the said construction work from the concerned department through the media and have demanded action against the concerned construction agency.

According to information received from sources, no officer was seen on this construction work at the time of bridge construction. The work has been done as per one's own will and the rules of the government have not been followed to any extent. And in this bridge iron rods of low mm have been used and the cement used is also not of high standard, if this bridge is inspected honestly then action would surely be taken. But it has been observed mostly that the officials are always trying to save the construction agency, why these people save it is well known, there is no need to write about it. The bridge is ready but the information board is not known. It should be known that the bridge has been constructed with the amount of lakhs of rupees from the government but the information board has not been installed at the said place till now and it is not a new thing that the information board has not been installed. We would like to inform you that many such government construction works have been done in this district but the information board is not known. We have tried to inform through the newspaper many times but till date no officer has taken any action. This shows that everyone's commission is fixed in the government's money, that is why no action is taken even after so much corruption. On the contrary, the complainant is trapped by the officials so that no one can complain. Even if someone complains by mistake, his slippers are worn out but still he does not get justice. Now it remains to be seen that after the publication of the news, when the concerned officials come into action and what kind of action is taken or will this negligence continue, only time will tell.
