Saharanpur, due to the special efforts of District Magistrate Manish Bansal, a three-member team has arrived in the district for the survey of the renovation and development works of Paandhoi and Dhamola rivers flowing in Saharanpur city area by the National Clean Ganga Mission (NMCG). This team will prepare a project report after conducting a survey in the district. He brainstormed with the team and concerned officials for the revival and development of rivers in the new auditorium located in the Collectorate. After that, the District Magistrate also visited the rivers on the spot with the team.
DM Manish Bansal said that this team will prepare a project report after surveying both the rivers. He said that Dhamola and Paandhoi rivers are the lifeline of Saharanpur, which passes through the middle of the city. But at present its condition is not very good. Dirty water from the drains comes into it and people also throw garbage in it. A project has been taken under Namami Gange to clean and renovate it. Under this, STP is being built by tapping the water of the drains. Due to which its water will be purified. Apart from this, a DPR will be prepared by the team after surveying the silt deposited in the rivers, cleaning of garbage, beautification of rivers and making river banks. He said that this is a long term project which will greatly benefit Saharanpur district in the future. DM Manish Bansal said that the team will prepare the project report along with conducting a survey on 03 and 04 February during the district visit. For which Additional Municipal Commissioner Mrityunjay, Executive Engineer Irrigation Construction Block Ram Babu, General Manager Jal-Kal Nagar Purushottam, Executive Engineer Construction Municipal Corporation Alok Srivastava, Project Manager Unit 9, Construction and Design Services Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam Ravi Pratap Singh and Project Manager Namami Gange Unit STP Campus Shahwali Muzaffarnagar Sanjeet Katiyar have been nominated as officers. District Magistrate Manish Bansal directed all the concerned officers to provide full cooperation to the survey team for the survey along with maps of the area and all other clear and error-free information related to these two rivers and city drainage plan so that further action can be taken for the restoration of rivers.
