One youth died and two youths were seriously injured due to lightning in Merta Road, Merta City. Both the injured and the deceased were taken to the Community Hospital of Merta City with the help of 108 ambulance. On receiving information about the incident, Merta MLA Laxman Ram Kalaru also reached Merta Hospital and inquired about the well-being of the injured and consoled the family members of the deceased by expressing deep condolences. According to the information received, one person died and two people were injured due to lightning in Ghosiwada in front of Merta City Police Station. 108 ambulance driver Harendra Tetarwal said that the deceased has been identified as Omprakash Meghwal, resident of Mora, while the injured include Sita and Ramratan Andaaram. The injured were taken to Merta Hospital, where they are being treated. The post-mortem of the deceased has been done and the body has been handed over to the family. Meanwhile, Merta MLA Laxman Ram Kalaru reached the hospital to know the condition of the injured. He expressed condolences to the families of the injured and assured to provide necessary assistance.
