District Magistrate gave instructions for continuous care of destitute cows

Saharanpur. Today marks one year since District Magistrate Dr. Dinesh Chandra took charge in the district. On this occasion, the District Magistrate reached the cows reared at his residence in the morning and fed them jaggery and green fodder along with doing Gau Seva. District Magistrate Dr. Dinesh Chandra's love for cows is not hidden from anyone. He serves the cows and calves reared at his residence every day. Apart from this, the District Magistrate keeps visiting the Gaushalas located in the district. He promoted the production of Napier grass so that the cows do not face shortage of green fodder. His innovative effort of Napier grass is being adopted across the state. Service of mute animals is of great importance in Indian culture. By keeping a feeling of true service towards destitute cows, the District Magistrate is giving a better message to the people of the district. In view of the increasing heat, District Magistrate Dr. Dinesh Chandra directed all the Sub-District Magistrates, Block Development Officers and Veterinary Officers to inspect the destitute cow shelters. He said that along with medical examination of the cows, it should also be ensured that there are adequate arrangements to protect them from the heat in the cow shelters. He said that the availability of straw, green fodder, shade and water should be ensured in all the cow shelters. He directed that arrangements should be made to bathe all the cows with cold water.
