Patna, This is very useful news for the youth of Bihar who want to study vocational courses. Now permission has been given for admission in vocational courses in all the universities of the state. The Education Department sent a letter to this effect to all the Registrars. At present, temporary recognition has been given only for one session 2024-25. The department has directed to make the process of enrollment completely transparent. Earlier, the matter of enrollment was stuck due to non-receipt of permission.
In fact, 50 thousand students across the state were deprived of admission. Now the application process for enrollment in many universities will start from Monday. In the letter from the Education Department, permission has been given to enroll in BCA, BBA, BMS and other vocational courses. But, for this the approval of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is necessary.
Action will be taken against universities and colleges that do not do so. It states that the number of seats on which admission was taken in the last session 2023-24, the same number of seats have to be enrolled. Admission has to be taken in those subjects only, whose ordinance and regulation are recognized by the Governor's Secretariat.
At the same time, it has also been said in the letter that in those colleges where the laboratory, teacher, infrastructure etc. are not up to the standard, whether admission should be taken on fewer seats or not. The universities will investigate this at their own level. In the coming year 2025-26, the affiliated colleges which have to increase the number of seats, will already get permission from their competent authority. So that the determination of seats and permission to conduct the course can be permanent.
