Nikunj Kumar Srivastava has been appointed as Senior Advisor to Executive Director of World Bank. Nikunj is a 1998 batch IAS officer from Madhya Pradesh.

On Wednesday, the Personnel Ministry informed that the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved Nikunj Srivastava as Senior Advisor to Executive Director of World Bank based in Washington DC for three years. Srivastava has been appointed in place of Gujarat cadre IAS officer Rajiv Topno.

The order issued by the Ministry said that 1995 batch IAS officer of Tripura cadre Ashutosh Jindal has been appointed as Minister (Economic) in the Indian Embassy in Washington DC in place of Ravi Kota.

Arvind Modak appointed as Advisor to Executive Director of World Bank

At the same time, 2008 batch IAS officer of Manipur cadre Hrishikesh Arvind Modak has been appointed as Advisor to Executive Director of World Bank. Arvind Modak will replace Rajendra Kumar, a 2004-batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre. Modak was till now working as a director in the Prime Minister's Office.

2010 batch IES officer Anshika Arora will serve as counsellor in India's Permanent Mission to the World Trade Organisation in Geneva. The order said that Arora has been appointed for this post for three years.

While 2010 batch IAS officer of Maharashtra cadre Ashutosh Salil has been appointed as counsellor (industry and engineering) in the Indian Embassy in Brussels for three years. 2007 batch IES officer Prashant Chandran will be the director of Bay of Bengal.
