Maihar, Maharishi Vidya Mandir, a prestigious educational institution in the city, celebrated Guru Purnima, a symbol of Indian culture and the Guru-Shishya tradition, with reverence, devotion, and enthusiasm. Students, teachers, and the school family participated enthusiastically, expressing their respect and gratitude to their Gurus.

Senior teacher K.K. Shukla was the chief guest and the school principal, Manoj Singh Parihar, presided over the event. The program began with Guru worship and a group practice of Transcendental Meditation, as per the school tradition. All the students and teachers present paid their respects to the Guru and remembered the great Guru-Shishya tradition of Indian culture.

Following this, the students performed solo and group songs, captivating cultural dances, and soulful performances based on the glory of the Guru, which were appreciated by all. The school teachers also presented hymns filled with devotion to the Guru, filling the atmosphere with spiritual and devotional hymns.

In his presidential address, Principal Manoj Singh Parihar highlighted the spiritual and social significance of Guru Purnima, saying that the Guru is a beacon of light that leads from the darkness of ignorance to the light of knowledge. He stated that it is the responsibility of every student to follow the path shown by their Guru, making truth, discipline, morality, and good deeds the foundation of their lives. He urged the students to fulfill their responsibilities towards society and the nation and contribute to social welfare through their noble deeds.

Chief Guest K.K. Shukla also addressed the students, highlighting the respect for the Guru and the supreme role of the Guru in Indian culture, and described the Guru-Shishya tradition as the greatest heritage of life.

The program was successfully conducted by teacher Maya Singh and teacher Deep Sawle. Prasad was distributed to all the students, teachers, and guests present, and the program concluded with a solemn ceremony with the singing of the National Anthem.

On this occasion, the school family resolved to follow the ideals of their teachers and continue to advance the spirit of education, values, and social responsibility.
