Anuppur, newly elected director of Urban Bank and central officer of South East Central Railway Mazdoor Congress Bilaspur Zone R.K.Yadav took charge on Thursday, 17 October with a huge procession at the Urban Bank office in Bilaspur.

On this occasion, Railway Mazdoor Congress Bilaspur Zone General Secretary Pitambar Laxmi Narayan, Bilaspur Division Coordinator B. Krishna Kumar, Nagpur Division Coordinator Indal Damahe, Zonal Joint General Secretary Vijay Agnihotri, delegate Gopi Rao, D.D.Mahesh, Laxman Vishwakarma, Rajesh Sonkar, Alok Tiwari, Shahid Ahmed, T Lawrence etc. were present.

Executive President of Railway Mazdoor Congress Bilaspur, Laxman Rao said that on 28 September 2024, 18 Board of Directors were elected by 691 delegates at Garden Reach Calcutta. By winning 16 out of 18 directors, the joint alliance led by Railway Mazdoor Congress and LRS registered a historic victory by defeating the red flag government which has been in power in Urban Bank for 50 years.

The newly elected Director of Urban Bank Bilaspur issued a resolution statement on taking charge and said that the newly elected Board of Directors will modernize the bank and provide computerized account book online facility. The culprits will be given strict punishment by investigating the corruption done by the people who have been in power for years. The interest rate will be reduced by increasing the loan of railway employees from Urban Bank. Computerized bank passbooks will be issued to all railway shareholders.
