New Zealand cricket team defeated India by 25 runs in the third and final Test match played in Mumbai. With this victory, New Zealand has whitewashed India 3-0 in the three-match Test series. New Zealand won the first Test by 8 wickets and the second match by 112 runs. New Zealand has whitewashed a team abroad for the first time.

Before this Test match, India had never been clean swept in its Test cricket history. Also, it had never been clean swept in any Test series at home till now. But for the first time in history, a team has defeated India 3-0 in its home.

Ajaz Patel received the Player of the Match award for his deadly and match-winning innings. He took 15 wickets in five innings of three matches. At the same time, Will Young, who scored 244 runs in six innings, received the Player of the Series award.

On the third day of the match at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium on Sunday, New Zealand's team was all out after scoring 174 runs in their second innings. In this way, India now got a target of only 147 runs to win the match. But in the second innings, Yashasvi Jaiswal (5), captain Rohit Sharma (11), Shubman Gill (1), Virat Kohli (1), Sarfaraz Khan (1), Ravindra Jadeja (6), Washington Sundar (12) and Ravichandran Ashwin (8) from India's side cut Team India's nose and India was all out for 121 runs.

Rishabh Pant was the only batsman for the Indian team who faced the Kiwi bowlers bravely. He scored the highest 64 runs with the help of 9 fours and a six in 57 balls. Pant also scored a half-century in the first innings.

Ajaz Patel took six wickets in the second innings for New Zealand. He had taken five wickets in the first innings as well and took a total of 11 wickets in the match. Apart from him, Glenn Phillips took three wickets and Matt Henry took one wicket.
