Narayanpur, Narayanpur Police has set up a new camp on 23.04.2025 in the last village "Nelangur" of Narayanpur-Maharashtra border, a shelter place for Maoists in the highly Naxal-affected Maad region, with the objective of providing security in anti-Naxal operations in Nelangur village area of Kohkameta police station and road construction work up to Kutul-Bedmakoti-Padamkot-Nelangur-Maharashtra- road and to expedite development works.

The villagers welcomed the police camp and mainly demanded basic facilities like electricity, tap water, education, health, roads etc., which were assured to be completed soon and a “Jan Samasya Nivaran Shivir” would be organized. All the development schemes under Niyad Nellnar will be fully implemented and various public welfare schemes will be taken to the village, now the Ganga of overall development will flow in the area.
The construction of National Highway 130 DK will be expedited. The market of Padmakot Nelangur also saw a lot of enthusiasm. Demand for development works was raised. Welcome to Chhattisgarh was put up on the road and along with the end of Chhattisgarh border, a board was put up indicating the distance from Nagpur and Mumbai to Jagdalpur and Raipur. 65 km road access from Narayanpur from east to west direction is complete. Anti-Naxal operations will now be more effective.
With the establishment of a new camp in village Nelangur, there is a lot of enthusiasm and security among the villagers of the area. Village Nelangur is located in the tehsil and police station Kohkameta and Orchha block area. The new camp is located 31 km south-west of police station Kohkameta.
Security and public facilities in Padmakot-Nelangur With the opening of police camp and market, people are getting their basic daily useful items, due to which the market of Padmakot-Nelangur has seen a lot of enthusiasm. Security forces will get access and surveillance in Naxal-affected areas, and it will help the local people to get rid of Naxal violence.
