Shajapur, Navratri festival concluded on Friday with Purnahuti. On this day, a huge crowd of devotees gathered in the goddess temples of the city from Alusbah to late night to worship Maa Adishakti. At the end of the nine-day Navratri, the ninth form of the mother Siddhidatri was worshiped and Purnahuti was offered in the yagya at the famous Maa Rajrajeshwari temple of the city. It is noteworthy that Shardiya Navratri, the festival of worship of Maa Bhavani, started from October 03 and devotees were also making various efforts to please the mother. Due to this, some showed their faith by staying barefoot due to a vow, while some kept fast and worshipped the mother. At the end of Navratri, the mother was attractively decorated in Chamunda Mata located on Dupara Road of the city, Rupamata located in Kasera Bazaar, Bijasan Mata temple and other goddess temples.

On the last day of Navratri, Navami, a crowd of devotees gathered in all the goddess temples of the city for darshan and worship. During this time, devotees kept coming in other goddess temples including the famous Maa Rajrajeshwari Mata temple of the city from early morning till late night. The idol of the mother was decorated attractively in the temples and the devotees prayed for happiness and prosperity by performing havan puja in the temple. It is noteworthy that in more than 100 places in the city, the idol of Maa Durga was installed in electrically decorated pandals and worship was being done, which has ended with Navratri. On the conclusion of Navratri, many people immersed the idol of Maa Bhavani. Whereas today on Saturday, all the goddess idols installed in the pandals will be immersed with rituals.
