Damoh, this is the story of Vinod Rajak's family living in Kabirpur village Jhagri of Batiagarh block, 44 km away from Damoh district. The family is financially weak, so they are working as laborers in Delhi to support the family. Child Krishna Rajak was born in Batiagarh Community Health Center. During birth at the delivery point, Dr. Saurabh Jain RBSK AMO told his family that Krishna is suffering from congenital heart disease. Therefore, he will have to go to DEIC District Damoh for his examination. The RBSK team and DEIC team constantly monitored the child's health. Due to his parents going to Delhi with the child and not getting timely treatment, Krishna started falling ill again and again. Due to frequent checkups in private hospitals, the financial condition of his family was becoming very weak. Meanwhile, while the DEIC team was taking continuous follow-up of the children identified by Dr. Preeti Thakur, their father Vinod Rajak was talked to on the phone. He told that Krishna has become weak due to frequent illness and he has been taken to a private hospital, and it is being said that his treatment will cost around two lakh rupees. Dr. Preeti told that Krishna should be taken to DEIC, from where free surgery will be done under the National Child Health Program.

On the very next day, Krishna, mother-Jayanti, father-Vinod Rajak came to DEIC where all the tests related to heart disease were done free of cost by Dr. Jalaj Bajaj, in the test, Krishna was found to be suffering from two serious heart diseases, on which an estimate of 1.75 lakh was given by the recognized institution, which was approved by Collector Sudhir Kumar Kochar, Civil Surgeon from RBSK District Committee, RBSK Nodal Officer, DPM, DEIM, CMHO and the amount was released and Krishna's surgery was done successfully.

After three months of surgery, Krishna's follow-up was taken again today. Krishna's mother Jayanti said that the Damoh Health Department and the RBSK team have given a new life to my child. Spending such a huge amount on the treatment of my son was like a daydream for them. Now he is also playing like other children. I am very happy to see my child Krishna playing.
