Shivpuri, spirituality has great strength, a living example of this was seen in Bamarkalan Panchayat of Pichor Assembly in Shivpuri district. Where the 103rd birthday of Nannu Bai, who lives in Bamarkalan town, was celebrated last day. Nannu Bai, who has been on the path of spirituality for more than 40 years, has seen the freedom struggle closely and, inspired by the movement of Vinoba Bhave, donated land from the landlord to the poor.
Nannu Bai Jain is a resident of Baroda Swamy village in Lalitpur district of UP, after marriage, the husband died shortly after the birth of a son. Nannu Bai sent the son to study at Gurukul in Papaura in Tikamgarh district at just 5 years old. At that time there was no one to earn in Nannu Bai's house, then Nannu Bai used to keep the goods on his head and sell the goods on his head and sell this struggle, today Nannu Bai has a full family of 38 people.
Nannu Bai has been on the spiritual path for more than 40 years. Nannubai leaves her bed at 3:30 in the morning, after which she goes to the temple at 6 in the morning and comes back at 9 in the morning, and chants 108 garlands of Namokri Mahamantra daily every day.
Nannubai tells her children to drink water, eat myrabalash and eat, milk bayaru which does not come to the houses. Eat fat, Nannu Bai, who follows the principle of fat, is the secret of a long life. She uses flour bread, well water and cotton clothes from the hand mill at home. At the age of 103, Nannu Bai is neither broken nor glasses on the eyes.
Nannu Bai told that my grandmother had given me the rites of patriotism and social service since childhood. I was always inspired by them, and this inspiration pulled me towards the Bhoodan movement.
One day, there was a discussion in the village that Vinoba Bhave ji is asking for land from the landlords across the country, so that he can distribute it among the landless farmers. This thing touched my heart. I thought that if I could also contribute to this movement, then this will be a true service towards my country and society. People explained to me that I am alone, my son is younger, and it would not be right for me to get entangled in such big things. But I was adamant in my intentions. I had decided that I would be a part of this movement. I talked to the women of the village. We started holding small meetings, where we would share the ideas of Vinoba Bhave ji and inspire people for this great work. I also appealed to the village landlord to Bhoodan. Seeing my innocence and determination, he finally donated some land. That land was later distributed to the landless farmers. After that day, there was a new enthusiasm in the village. People started looking at me with respect. I can still proudly say that I did something for the people of my village. Even though my name is not mentioned anywhere, the people of the village still tell my story. At the same time, Nannu Bai said that I have faced two epidemic cholera and corona at the age of 103, I have not used any medicine.
It is said that there is heaven under the feet of the mother, the first teacher in the world is mother and is the greatest in the world, then she is the mother. Nannu Bai, who helped the poor all the time, traded himself on his own legs. For this reason, Nannubai's life became a direction for others, this later the son inherited the mother. Nannubai's son Prakash Chand Jain became the village head of the village twice, now the number of members in Nannubai's family is 38. There is a doctor, there is an engineer, Nannubai's family, who inspires the woman to move forward, has many female doctors and engineers. At present, Nannu Bai, who lives in Bamourkala, is living with her grandson Dr. CK Jain. Dr. CK Jain came to live in Bamaurakalan 30 years ago.
