Deoband | Saharanpur, today on the occasion of Shivratri of Shravan month, lakhs of Shiv devotees in the district went to Shiva temples and performed Jalabhishek on Shivling and took bath with Panchamrit and performed Rudrabhishek. Jalabhishek was performed in Bhuteshwar Mahadev, Bageshwar Mahadev, Patheshwar Mahadev, Pataleshwar Mahadev and Barsi Mahadev of Mahabharata period located in village Barsi in Saharanpur metropolis, Bankhandi Mahadev in Sarsawa, Nakuleshwar Mahadev in Nakur, Gudchhapper Mahadev in Gangoh and Mankeshwar Mahadev temple in Deoband. Devotees offered sandalwood, flowers, Belpatra, incense etc. to Bhole Baba. Along with this, Jalabhishek was done with Panchamrit after offering Bhogadi. The Kanwar Yatra, which began on July 12 amid tight security arrangements in the entire district, concluded today with pomp and devotion. District Magistrate Manish Bansal and SSP Mohit Sajwan also showered flowers on the Kanwariyas from a helicopter. Today the number of postal Kanwariyas was high. Many Kanwariyas also brought 501 liters of Ganga water in Kanwar this time.
