Lalbarra, Balaghat-Lalbarra MLA Mrs. Anubha Munjare today conducted a surprise inspection of the paddy procurement center in her Balaghat assembly constituency, where she saw the arrangements for paddy procurement and tried to know the problems of the farmers by meeting them. MLA Anubha Munjare inspected Kanki, Dokarbandi, Mohgaon Dhapera, Dadiya Deori paddy procurement centers. During this, she came to know about the problems faced by the farmers by meeting them. Some farmers informed the MLA about the rejection of paddy as per the standards. At some places, the problem of transportation came up, due to which the farmers were facing problems in storing the paddy. Lack was found in the procurement system at the farmers and other levels, over which MLA Anubha Munjare expressed displeasure. MLA Anubha Munjare instructed not to harass the farmers regarding paddy procurement and said that we will never tolerate anyone who harasses the farmers. She said that the farmers are ripening the crop after a lot of struggle, the government is not giving them a fair price. The promise of buying paddy at the rate of Rs 3100 is not being fulfilled. MLA Anubha Munjare said that today she has inspected Kanki, Dokarbandi, Mohgaon Dhapera, Dadiya Deori paddy procurement centers. Some problems came up for which instructions were given on the spot that we are with the farmers and farmers should not be harassed when they come to sell paddy.
