Albendazole tablet will be given on National Deworming Day on September 10

Shajapur, National Deworming Day is an initiative of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, which aims to make every child in the country worm-free. It is one of the largest public health programs that has reached a large number of children in a short time. Helminth worms that spread through soil contaminated with feces are called soil-transmitted helminth intestinal parasitic worms. Soil-transmitted helminth infection can cause anemia, malnutrition, reduced physical, mental and cognitive development and low participation in school. The above things were said by the health department officials while addressing the heads of urban and rural schools of development block Shajapur at MLB Umavi in Somvariya on Saturday. He told that the objective of National Deworming Day is to deworm all children aged 1 to 19 years, enrolled and non-enrolled in school, through schools and Anganwadi centers, so that their overall health, nutritional status, access to education and quality of life can be improved. For this, on 10th September, students of target group will be given Albendazole tablet by the Health Department in Anganwadi, schools. During this, the remaining students will be given the tablet on 13th September. In the meeting, BEE Rajesh Bharti, Urban Supervisor Joy Sharma, Health Supervisor Mohan Kicholiya, Jafar Shah, Vishnuprasad Chavda oriented the teachers regarding the organization of Deworming Day. On this occasion, from the Education Department, Cluster Principal Poonam Trivedi, Principal of Lahori Umavi Mohan Singh Sauraniya, Jan Shikshak Lokesh Rathore, Jagdish Bhavsar, RP Bhilala, Gorelal Balodia, Dinesh Malviya prepared the necessary strategy regarding making the program successful. It was conducted by teacher Sanjay Kumar Soni. More than 120 institution heads were present in the program.
