Metro routes finalized in 4 cities of Bihar
Gaya will have the longest line and Darbhanga will have the shortest
Patna, After Patna, the efforts to run metro in four more major cities of the state are gaining momentum. The state government has also announced to run metro trains in Gaya, Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur and Darbhanga. The survey work of metro line in these four cities has also been completed. The metro rail route has been decided in the survey.
The Urban Development and Housing Department had assigned the work of survey for metro train in four cities to the railway agency RITES. The survey work started in September last year. Now the survey work in all the four cities has been completed and the report has been submitted to the government. The Urban Development Department is engaged in starting the further process after studying this report.
The metro line will be like this
According to the survey report given by RITES, there is a proposal to build the longest 36 km metro rail route in Gaya city. Gaya city will be connected to Bodh Gaya and the airport through metro. Apart from this, the survey report mentions a 24 km long metro route in Bhagalpur and a 21.25 km long metro route in Muzaffarpur. According to the survey report, the shortest metro line will be built in Darbhanga city. Here, a proposal has been made to build only 18.8 km metro rail route. However, two metro routes have been built in these four cities.
However, the metro route is proposed to be of 20 km length in these cities. But in the survey report, the length of the metro line has increased in the other three cities except Darbhanga. The state government can take a new decision on the basis of the survey report. Let us tell you that work is going on on a metro route of about 32 km in Patna. 24 metro stations are to be built here.
The survey agency has submitted the feasibility report, comprehensive mobility plan and alternative analysis report of the metro line to Nagar Vikas. 20 stations in Muzaffarpur, SKMCH will be connected to the junction
According to the survey conducted by the government, there is a plan to build 20 stations in the metro route in Muzaffarpur. There will be two routes in this. The first route will be 13.85 km long from Harpur Bakhri to Ramdayalu, which will have 13 stations. The second route will be from SKMCH to the junction, which is 7.40 km long, seven stations are proposed in it.
18 stations in Darbhanga, Airport-DMCH will be connected
There will be a total of 18 stations in the two proposed metro routes in Darbhanga. The first route will be about 8.90 km long from the airport to Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital (DMCH). Eight metro stations will be built in this route. At the same time, the second route will be 9.90 km long from Polytechnic College to Bijuli, in which 10 metro stations are proposed.
Metro to Champanagar in Bhagalpur, 24 stations
There is a proposal to build metro rail in Bhagalpur in two phases, in which a total of 24 stations are planned. There will be two corridors in the first phase. The first route includes a 12 km long metro line from Saidpur to Champanagar, in which 12 stations are proposed.
The second corridor will have a 7 km long metro line from Bhagalpur railway station to Vastu Vihar, in which 6 stations are proposed. In the second phase of metro in Bhagalpur, a metro line will be built from the railway station to Champanagar, whose length will be five km and 4 stations will be built in it.
Metro from Gaya to Bodhgaya, 28 stations will be built
According to the survey, there is a plan to build the longest network of metro in Gaya. A total of 28 metro stations will be built in it. The first line will be the North-South corridor, which will connect the airport, Bodh Gaya and the station. There will be 18 metro stations in this 22.60 km long route.
The second line in Gaya will be the East-West Corridor, which will be 13.48 km long. It is proposed to build 10 metro stations in it. This metro line will connect Bipad, Vishnupad Temple and Manpur Bus Station.
