Merta Road, Nagaur district, from the railway point of view, Merta Road Junction is connected to the main big cities of the country including four metros. But if we take a look at the transport service, till date the district headquarters has not been connected to the roadways service. In terms of rail transport, Merta Road Junction of Nagaur district has made its own identity. Along with this, if we look at the services of Rajasthan Path Parivahan Nigam, then the saying 'cumin seed in the mouth of a camel' is true and accurate in the town. Chajar and all Merta Road are directly connected to the trains and buses operated by AASS. Sarpanch Prem Jhotwal, Mandal member Kailash Meghwal, BJP leader Kailash Latiyal, Kailash Chand Sharma, Kamal Sharma of Bhaskar ITI, social worker Rameshwar Gehlot, Ramnivas Latiyal, Shimbhu Sharma, Ratanlal, Vinay Maheshwari, Rahul Sethi, Vishnu Gupta etc. said that in this regard, a delegation will soon meet MP Mahima Singh, MLA Laxman Ram Kalaru and strongly demand to start the roadways service.

For 27 years, only one roadways bus is running from Jodhpur to Oladan, private buses are running

Even today, for the last 27 years, only one roadways bus is running from Jodhpur to Oladan in Merta Road. Whereas, currently more than forty private buses are running from Merta Road to various places. In such a situation, people here are traveling on the basis of private buses and are forced to pay arbitrary fares. From here, passengers travel daily to Nagaur, Jodhpur, Ajmer, Beawar, Pali, Jaitaran. Merta Road has not been connected to the district headquarters by roadways till date. Due to which problems are being faced.

Merta Road is also important from religious and tourism point of view

The town is important from religious and tourism point of view. If we look at the town from religious and tourism point of view, then the ancient Brahmani temple and the ancient Jain pilgrimage place Lord Shri Parshvanath's temple are located in the town. The temple of Bhakt Shiromani Meera Bai is located in Merta City, religious city Pushkar, Mata Bhanwal, Pavani Nadi Lamba Jatan, Butati Dham and other places, domestic and foreign tourists, railway passengers alight here in large numbers.
