Satna, under the leadership of former MLA of Raigaon assembly constituency of the district, Mrs. Kalpana Verma, houses of more than 40 tribals in Jhanda village near Shahpur Bandha were demolished by the Forest Department under the protection of administrative staff and police. A delegation of Raigaon assembly constituency under the leadership of former MLA Kalpana Verma submitted a memorandum to the District Collector in the name of the Chief Minister and demanded that the demolished houses of the tribals of Jhanda village be rebuilt immediately and compensation be given for the loss of material kept in the house. Mrs. Verma said that the movement will continue till their demands are not met. The delegation accused the regional MLA of having a hand in the collapse of the houses of the tribals.
