Sagar, Chief Electoral Officer, Madhya Pradesh Shri Anupam Rajan and Inspector General of Police, Law and Order and Security Madhya Pradesh and State Police Nodal Officer Shri Anurag today reviewed the preparations for #MadhyaPradesh_Vidhan Sabha_Elections_2023 by holding a meeting with the District Collectors and Superintendents of Police of Sagar division.
In this meeting held in Orchha of Niwari district, Chief Electoral Officer, Shri Rajan directed to ensure strict adherence to the Model Code of Conduct during the election process. Make use of e-challan, polling personnel should be given maximum training on EVM, VVPAT.
Shri Rajan directed that all the returning officers should visit the polling centers of their area and ensure the availability of all basic facilities at those centres. Information about postal voting should be provided to the eligible voters for postal voting within the time limit. Immediately start inter-state and inter-district checkpoints, so that action can be initiated. To prevent material influencing the elections, checkpoints should be set up at the district and state borders and vehicles should be strictly checked. Preparation of postal ballot should be done well for the employees engaged in election work, senior citizens above 80 years of age and disabled people. Special monitoring should be done on social media. To maintain law and order, preventive and district-wide action should be taken against people with criminal tendencies.
