Saharanpur. The annual meeting of Officer Commanding of Emergency Services of Civil Defence was convened in the auditorium of Collectorate under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Manish Bansal. In the meeting, DM Manish Bansal directed the department to make a plan of civil defence and publicise it and to organise timely various training programmes related to fire fighting, first aid, earthquake awareness, flood protection and protection from air raids and disasters among the general public. The Chief Fire Officer was directed to train the personnel nominated in the Civil Defence Master Plan for protection from fire bombs during air raids. District Magistrate Manish Bansal directed BSNL officials to convert the previous hotline service to new technology to strengthen the internal communication system technically. He said that all the concerned officers should discharge their responsibilities well to deal with the disasters that occur during air raids. DM Manish Bansal said that the emergency services of civil defence mainly include rescue service, communication service, welfare service, training service, fire service, supply service, depot and transport service, scrap service and body disposal service. The officers related to these services should coordinate with the officers of civil defence and ensure timely cooperation. On this occasion, Sub-District Magistrate Sadar Ankur Verma, Chief Fire Officer, Deputy Controller Civil Defence Kashmir Singh, Dinesh Kumar, M. Alam, BSNL, Public Works Department, Health Department and other related officers and employees were present.
