Muzaffarnagar (Meerapur). RLD MP Chandan Chauhan said today that the by-election of Meerapur assembly seat vacated by him is very important for the BJP-RLD alliance. He said that this alliance had proved its usefulness in the Lok Sabha elections. RLD had won both the Lok Sabha seats that came to its share with a huge margin. Now it is the turn of the by-elections of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly. Chandan Chauhan said that RLD President and Union Minister Jayant Chaudhary is very serious about the Meerapur by-election. He will hold a meeting of booth presidents at Aluna Farm House in Ramraj of Meerapur area on Saturday afternoon. Jayant Chaudhary will inaugurate ITI in Charthaval at 1.30 pm before this. Jayant Chaudhary will meet party workers at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Bhainswal of Shamli at 11.30 am on Saturday. The RLD organization is engaged in the preparations of all the programs. Chandan Chauhan himself visited Ramraj in his parliamentary constituency today and held a meeting with the workers. Keep in mind that Chandan Chauhan won the 2022 assembly elections from Meerapur assembly seat as a RLD-SP alliance candidate by a huge margin. This seat was represented in the assembly by his father late Sanjay Chauhan and his grandfather late Narayan Singh has also been an MLA from this seat. Chaudhary Narayan Singh is also credited with becoming the first Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. Obviously, this seat is considered the stronghold of this family. The people of Meerapur area and RLD workers believe that if the RLD-BJP alliance makes MP Chandan Chauhan's wife Yashhika Chauhan a candidate, she will easily win the election.
