Mayor Meets Victims Injured in Municipal-Linked Fire Incident
Allegations of Shielding BJP Councilor Gain Momentum
Indore: Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav visited the hospital to inquire about the condition of those injured in a gas pipeline explosion in the Vijay Nagar area. He met the admitted patients, checked on their health, and instructed doctors and hospital management to ensure that all the injured receive superior and uninterrupted medical care.
Wishing the injured a speedy recovery, the Mayor stated that he is praying to God for everyone's quick recuperation. He clarified that the actual causes of the accident are being investigated and that relevant officials have been directed to take necessary action.
High Court Takes Strict Stance; Orders Free Treatment and Airlifting
The Madhya Pradesh High Court has also adopted a stern stance on the matter. The court has directed the state government not to charge any fees for the treatment of the accident victims and to ensure they receive complete medical care free of cost.
Meanwhile, considering the critical condition of social media influencer Giri Rajkumari (alias Jini Jhala), who sustained severe burns, the High Court has ordered the government to immediately airlift her to Ahmedabad for advanced treatment, ensuring access to specialized medical facilities.
Allegations Against Municipal Corporation for Shielding BJP Councilor
At the same time, questions are being raised regarding the role of the Municipal Corporation following the accident. The injured and eyewitnesses allege that the residence of BJP Councilor Balmukund Soni is located approximately 200 meters from the incident site and that he was personally present there, supervising the borewell drilling work at the time of the incident.
It is alleged that despite this, Municipal Corporation officials and public representatives have been attempting to shield the councilor from the start, which is why his name has not yet officially surfaced in connection with the incident. However, these allegations have not been independently verified.
According to sources, the police have sought documents and reports from the Municipal Corporation regarding the permission for the alleged illegal borewell drilling, but these have not yet been provided. This has led to suspicions of collusion in the matter.
