Mirzapur | Saharanpur, Mason dies on the spot after lintel of under-construction shop collapses in Padli village of Mirzapur police station of Saharanpur district, while six workers including shop owner injured. It is being told that the condition of four of the injured is critical. After the accident, SDM, CO and police station in-charge reached the spot and sent all the injured to the hospital.

According to the information received, Nafees son of Shabbir of the same village is constructing his shop. When the work of laying the lintel was started, the beam under the lintel became tilted, which was being tried to be straightened by mason Wasim (41) son of Qurban resident of Mirzapur with the help of shop owner and workers. During this time, the lintel collapsed. All the people got buried under it. After a lot of effort, they could be taken out. Wasim died after being buried under the rubble, while shop owner Nafees and labourers Salman, Chandrapal, Israr, residents of Mirzapur, were seriously injured. They were sent to the district hospital for treatment, while three labourers Mustakim, Rehman and Nafees suffered minor injuries, who were sent home after treatment at CHC. As soon as the information of the incident was received, SDM Behat Manvendra Singh, Tehsildar Prakash Singh, CO Abhitesh Singh, Kotwali in-charge Binu Chaudhary reached the spot and started the rescue operation. Police say that no complaint has been received in the case yet. Action will be taken by registering a report after the complaint is received.
