Patna, Assembly elections are to be held in Bihar at the end of this year, for which all the political parties have started their preparations. In this sequence, the Congress party is taking out a 'stop migration, give jobs' march in Bihar. This march is being led by NSUI national in-charge Kanhaiya Kumar. On Friday, Kanhaiya Kumar and other Congress workers tried to go towards the Chief Minister's residence. Here they clashed with the police. The police have detained Kanhaiya Kumar and many Congress workers.

Why was Kanhaiya detained?

NSUI national in-charge Kanhaiya Kumar and Congress workers have been brought to Kotwali police station after being detained by Patna Police. During the 'stop migration, give jobs' march of Congress workers, there was a clash with the police when they were stopped from going towards the Chief Minister's residence. Actually, Youth Congress workers wanted to surround the CM House and submit a memorandum to CM Nitish Kumar. Along with Kanhaiya Kumar, many Youth Congress officials have also been detained. They have been brought to Patna's Kotwali police station.

Mild lathicharge on protesters

On Friday, Congress took to the streets in Patna. Under the leadership of Kanhaiya Kumar, Congress held a big protest in Patna and tried to surround the CM House. However, the police stopped the Congress protest midway, after which the protesters scuffled with the police. The police used water cannons and when the situation went out of control, the police also did a mild lathicharge on the protesters. After this, many protesters including Kanhaiya Kumar were detained.

Sachin Pilot also joined the march

Congress leader Sachin Pilot also joined the Congress's 'Pigation Stop, Naukri Do Padyatra' in Patna. He said - "The government should stop the migration of lakhs of people from Bihar. We are demanding accountability. The youth have come out on the streets with us. The government releases figures only to mislead, while the reality is far from this." On this performance of Congress, Jan Suraj Party founder Prashant Kishor said, "In a democracy, everyone has the right to do their work. Congress has no power in Bihar, it is dependent on RJD."
