Saharanpur. It was believed that the blame of BJP's defeat in the Lok Sabha elections would fall on the officers. In the same context, Saharanpur District Magistrate Dr. Dinesh Chandra has been kept on the waiting list. In his place, the government has sent District Magistrate Sambhal Manish Bansal. Manish Bansal is a 2014 batch IAS. Young IAS Ashish Kumar, Vice President of Saharanpur Authority, has been sent to the post of District Magistrate Hathras. Ashish Kumar has the image of a sharp and honest officer. Dinesh Chandra Singh held the post of District Magistrate in Saharanpur for 13 months and five days.

Dr. Vipin Tada, who held the post of SSP in Saharanpur for about two years, has been sent to Meerut on the same post. Rohit Singh Sajwan has been sent from Meerut in his place. Rohit Sajwan is originally from Uttarakhand. New officers are expected to take charge in a day or two. The transferred District Magistrate Dr. Dinesh Chandra is liked for his administrative efficiency as well as for discharging social responsibilities. He has also previously worked as SDM, City Magistrate and ADM in Saharanpur.
