Mandal jail became a battlefield, fierce fighting between two prisoners
Condition of one prisoner is serious, Sadar Hospital referred him to higher center

Munger, 30-year-old Dheeraj Kumar, a prisoner in Mandal jail since 2021 in a murder case, was seriously injured by another prisoner Kapildev Mandal by hitting him with a brick during lunch break. By the time the guard opened the ward and calmed the matter, Dheeraj was seriously injured due to continuous hitting with a brick on the head.
He fell unconscious on the floor of the ward. After which the prisoner was hurriedly brought to Sadar Hospital for treatment. Whose condition was very serious. The prisoner had serious wounds on his head, blood was coming out of his ears while stomach debris was coming out of his mouth. Seeing the critical condition of the prisoner, the doctor said to refer him to a higher center. Jail Superintendent Kiran Nidhi and Jailer Sohan Kumar also reached Sadar Hospital and requested to refer the seriously injured prisoner to a higher center soon.
Thereafter, on the orders of the DM, the Civil Surgeon constituted a three-member medical team of doctors. The jail administration said that the injured prisoner Dheeraj and his two cousins Kapildev Mandal and Mithu Kumar are residents of Kasim Bazar. All three cousins are lodged in jail in the year 2021 in a murder case of Kasim Bazar police station. Some kind of family dispute was already going on between these people. Dheeraj Kumar Mandal was lodged in cell number 05 of the jail while Kapildev Mandal was lodged in cell number 9.
After lunch time, Dheeraj went to cell number 9 where a fight broke out between Kapildev and Dheeraj. During the fight, Kapildev hit Dheeraj with a brick and injured him. After the incident, there was chaos in the atmosphere for some time due to the ringing of the mad bell in the jail.
