After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir and the killing of innocent people, there is an atmosphere of anger in the whole country. However, due to this anger, many people are taking the law into their own hands. Meanwhile, now the news of murder has come from Mangaluru district of Karnataka. A daily wage laborer in Mangaluru was beaten to death on Sunday for allegedly raising "pro-Pakistan slogans" during a cricket match. Now the victim has been identified.

Deceased identified
The person who was killed for raising pro-Pakistan slogans has been identified. The district police said on Wednesday that the victim's name is Ashraf and he was a resident of Wayanad, Kerala. So far the police have arrested 20 people in this case, the search for the other 5 is still on.

Beaten to death
The incident came to light on Sunday evening at around 5.30 pm, when the police received information about an unidentified body. There were no external injury marks on the body. Initially a case of unnatural death was registered and the body was sent to Wenlock District Hospital for post-mortem. Kulshekar resident Deepak Kumar had lodged a complaint in this matter. The police have arrested the accused in the incident based on the pictures and videos shared on social media. In the initial investigation, the accused told the police that during the cricket match, Ashraf allegedly raised the slogan of Pakistan Zindabad, which angered 25 youths and they beat Ashraf to death.

CM Siddaramaiah gave a statement
On the incident of mob lynching in Kudupu, Mangaluru, Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah has talked about taking legal action against the accused after investigating the matter. However, Siddaramaiah has also said that anyone who raises slogans in support of Pakistan is wrong. It is an act of treason.
