Major accident during Shiv procession in Kota
15 children got burnt due to electric shock
The accident took place during the Shiva procession being taken out on Mahashivratri in Kota city of Rajasthan. 15 children got burnt due to viral hypertension. The condition of one child remains critical. All the children have been admitted to MBBS hospital.
The accident occurred near Kunhadi Thermal intersection around 12.30 pm. Many children were carrying religious flags in the Shiva procession. During this time a flag touched the high tension line. This led to this accident. There was sudden chaos after the incident. Whoever found him ran to the hospital. The children were immediately taken to MBBS hospital. The condition of a child there remains critical. The administration has also become active. As soon as information about the accident was received, the medical team was alerted. The relatives of the injured children beat up the organizers who reached the hospital. IG Ravidutt Gaur said that one child has suffered 70 percent burns and the other 50 percent. The remaining children suffered 10 percent burns. The age of the children is said to be nine to 16 years.
As soon as information about the accident was received, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, State Energy Minister Hiralal Nagar and other officials also reached MBBS hospital. Birla said while talking to journalists that the incident is very sad. Why this happened will be investigated. Everyone is currently engaged in the treatment of children. One child is serious. If there is a need for referral, that will also be done. Children will be provided the best possible treatment.
Shiv Baraat is organized every year
Every year Shiv Baraat is organized in Kali Basti. Most of the children had come without their family members to be a part of the Shiva procession. People say that this accident happened due to the mistake of the organizers. For this reason, when the organizers reached the hospital, the angry family members beat them up.
