Anuppur, Madhya Pradesh Government's Minister of State for Cottage and Village Industries (Independent Charge) Shri Dilip Jaiswal has written a letter to the Chairman of Adani Group, Shri Gautam Adani, informing that Welspun Energy Anuppur Private Limited had acquired the land of farmers in the year 2010-11 in villages Umarda, Majhtoliya and Chhatai under Kotma tehsil and keeping in view the availability of employment to all the affected farmers, the farmers had given their land to the company with hope. But since the year 2017-18, this land has been taken by Adani Company and the plant has not been set up yet. Due to which the farmers are very disappointed and hence they want to take back their land. In this regard, Minister Shri Jaiswal has requested Shri Gautam Adani to set up a thermal power plant on the acquired land as soon as possible.

So that the affected farmers can get employment and the land for which it was taken from the villagers can be used properly. If you cannot set up a thermal industry, then definitely set up some other industry so that the villagers and landowners can get employment.

Minister Shri Jaiswal has assured Shri Adani that there is a problem related to encroachment and boundary wall on the acquired land, initiative will be taken to resolve it by discussing and coordinating with the villagers, so that the acquired land remains safe.

He has mentioned in the letter written to Shri Adani that if no industry is set up on this land, then the villagers will demand to take back their land.

In the letter written to Shri Adani, he has appealed to take action as soon as possible regarding the establishment of industry in the acquired land of the farmers.
