Lalbarra, Eleventh Annual Sneh Sammelan was organized in Government College Lalbarra last Friday, 7th March. In which a large group of local journalists were not invited. Due to which anger has spread among the local journalists against the college management. It seems that the college management has hired them for many activities including news and they have said that now they will not give space to any kind of activities of the college in the newspaper. Local journalists are feeling insulted due to not receiving invitation.

It is worth mentioning that after many years, annual Sneh Sammelan was organized in Government College Lalbarra. In which District Panchayat President and Vice President Lalbarra, Gram Panchayat Manpur Sarpanch along with local MLA Mrs. Anubha Munjare, Gaurishankar Bisen former Cabinet Minister and Mrs. Bharti Pardhi MP were invited. Invitation cards for the Sneh Sammelan were given to only a few of the local media personnel and majority of the media personnel were not invited to this conference. Due to which there is anger among the media personnel.
It is being told that apart from Sneh Sammelan, many types of programs are organized every week in the college for which media personnel are not invited for coverage. After the program is over, the college employees themselves prepare the news and send it to a few media personnel and that news is also printed as it is without confirmation. It has also been learnt that on many occasions rallies of students are taken out in the college but the rally is never taken on a city tour, the rally is taken only till the college gate and then sent back and news to this effect is published in the newspapers that the rally was taken on a city tour. Local people representative and district member's name is not included in the invitation card and all local journalists were not invited by the college management.

If there is a wedding in my house, it will be my decision as to whom to invite and whom not. Similarly, who will be what in our college function, this decision will also be ours as to whom to invite and or not to invite. This is our own matter. We have not committed any crime and this is not an issue. If you want to challenge this in the court, then do so. In this way, why should I invite the local people representative to my college function? We should not invite those whom we do not want to invite. -
