Opposition MPs began sloganeering as soon as the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha began proceedings on Monday, August 3rd, and Tuesday, August 4th. The government says it is ready to discuss every issue, but the opposition is deliberately obstructing the House. Several senior government leaders, including Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, have appealed to the opposition for cooperation, stating that it is the government's responsibility to pass important bills concerning the public and that legislative work will continue despite the uproar.

* Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development (Amendment) Bill, 2026, which was also passed by the Rajya Sabha. In addition, the government has also introduced the Bankers' Books Evidence Bill, 2026 and the Indian Statistical Institute Bill, 2026 in the House.
