Dhar, Bhumi Pujan is to be held on May 10 for the construction of an all-convenient bus stand in Dhar city. Congress councilors have accused of extravagance in this Bhoomipujan program. In NAPA, the Leader of the Opposition and the Congress councilors took a press conference on Tuesday and accused the municipal chairman, vice-chairman and officials of extravagance. Leader of Opposition Qureshi said that Kushabhau Thackeray has done Bhumi Pujan for the construction of bus stand, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan during a program in Pithampur. Despite this, the BJP's council is now spending wastefully by organizing programs in the name of Bhoomipujan.
Here at Anil Plaza, Leader of Opposition Karim Qureshi held a press conference along with Congress Councilor Ishwar Thakur, Representatives Ajay Thakur, Bunty Dodd, Manish Kannauj. In this, they jointly told that NAPA does not have the money to provide essential items to the scavengers. There is no money to pay the employees. But money is being spent on unnecessary purchases and programmes. The employees working to make Dhar number-1 do not have gloves, jackets and helmets, nor do they have the hoes and other resources required for cleaning. While on the other hand chairs worth Rs 10 lakh and flexes are being installed by spending thousands of rupees.
Congress leader and Leader of Opposition Qureshi said that NAPA is playing flex. In this also a discriminatory attitude is being adopted, politics is being done by posting photos of those who are not public representatives. Qureshi said that the 9 councilors of Congress have neither opposed development nor will they ever. But BJP President-Vice-President are opposing the wasteful expenditure in the name of development. He said that the photographs of councilors of the entire council should be included in the flags which have been put up in the name of development. As has happened in earlier councils. But now only those councilors in whose ward the bus stand is located are being sidelined.
