Lawrence Bishnoi in terrorist-gangster network case
NIA charge sheet against 12 including Goldie Brar
New Delhi, The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday filed a charge sheet against 12 others along with notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, Goldie Brar, Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) and several other pro-Khalistan terrorist organisations. NIA is investigating three terrorist-gangster nexus cases. The charge sheet has revealed links between criminal syndicate members and drug smugglers with BKI and other pro-Khalistan organisations. In the action of NIA, after raiding 74 places in 7 states, 62 bank accounts have been frozen while seizing 7 properties.
Many revelations related to the gangster mafia were made in the charge sheet of NIA. Lawrence Bishnoi is said to be in custody since 2015 and operating his terror-crime syndicate from prisons in various states along with Canada-based Goldie Brar. Who is accused of killing Pradeep Kumar, a follower of Dera Sacha Sauda in Faridkot in November. Lawrence Bishnoi's syndicate was also responsible for providing the killers for the RPG attack case on the Punjab State Intelligence Headquarters in Mohali. As per the NIA investigation, Goldie Brar was found to have a direct link with Lakhbir Singh alias Landa, another BKI operative working closely with Rinda.
Lakhbir Singh alias Landa is also accused of the Mohali RPG attack as well as the December 2022 RPG attack on the Sirhali police station in Tarn Taran, Punjab. The investigation is on against Landa and three others. All these 14 accused have been accused of spreading terrorist activities and hatching a criminal conspiracy for target killing of famous social and religious leaders, film stars, singers and businessmen. According to the NIA, apart from having links with the conspirators in Pakistan, the accused were also in touch with pro-Khalistani elements based in Canada, Nepal and other countries. NIA has seized 9 illegal weapons, 14 magazines, 298 rounds of ammunition and 183 digital devices and other objectionable material by raiding 74 places in Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Chandigarh and Delhi. The probe agency had conducted massive searches over a period of six months and during the course of its probe probed around 70 members of various organized crime support networks.
Seven LOCs and 5 NBWs have been issued by NIA so far in the case, in which 7 immovable properties have been attached/confiscated and 62 bank accounts have been frozen under Section 25 UA(P) Act. Further investigation led the NIA to bases set up in Haryana and Punjab, which were being used to shelter gangsters and store weapons. The 14 accused chargesheeted on Friday were identified as Lawrence Bishnoi, Jagdeep Singh alias Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, Satvinderjit Singh alias Goldy Brar, Sachin Thapan alias Sachin Bishnoi, Anmol Bishnoi alias Bhanu, Vikramjit Singh alias Vikram Brar, Sandeep Jhanjharia alias Kala Jatheri, Virendra Pratap Singh. has happened as Earlier, on March 21, the NIA filed its first charge sheet against 12 accused in the terror-gangster nexus cases under investigation.
