11 days after the gangrape of a student in Kolkata Law College, the college has been reopened. Classes started in the law college from Monday. Studies are being resumed in the law college on the orders of the High Court. Police force is deployed outside the campus of South Kolkata Law College. Tight security arrangements have been made in the college campus. On Monday, students were also allowed to enter under strict police surveillance.

Union room closed, where the gangrape took place
College teacher and advocate Somnath Mukherjee said, "I cannot say anything about the incident, because I was not here at that time. At present, the college is opening on the orders of the High Court. The gangrape incident is a legal matter, on which only the court will be able to tell the truth." The college was closed since the gangrape incident. The matter went to the Calcutta High Court regarding this. After the hearing, the High Court had ordered to resume classes in the law college. However, the union room, where the gangrape took place, has been asked to remain closed. The High Court had said in its order, "The union room should remain closed and the college should be opened on a regular basis."

Three accused arrested

According to Law College advocate Somnath Mukherjee, a copy of the High Court order was sent to the police administration, from where the reply came that they have no objection to opening the college for academic purposes. After this, the college has opened from Monday. Let us tell you that on June 25, a 24-year-old law student was allegedly gangraped by three students in the college campus. After the case came to light, all three accused were arrested. The security guard has also been arrested in this case, who allegedly refused to help the student.
