Saharanpur, the year 2024 gave Indian politics a new Dalit face. The credit for this goes to Saharanpur district. Chandrashekhar, born in the small town of Chhutmalpur to a teacher, has established himself as a big face of Dalit politics. Chandrashekhar, who was active as a young and struggling lawyer, organized Dalit youth to cross the walls of social discrimination and high-low and formed the Bhim Army organization, and as soon as he fought against social discrimination and Dalit oppression, he was exploited by the government. He was put in Saharanpur jail. Chandrashekhar did not lose courage and continued to raise the voice of Dalits by increasing his activism in Saharanpur district and surrounding areas, which are called Mayawati's stronghold. The 2024 Lok Sabha elections brought a new enthusiasm, light and energy in Chandrashekhar's life. He contested the reserved Nagina Lok Sabha seat of neighbouring district Bijnor on his own and reached the Lok Sabha by getting elected with huge public support. In the Lok Sabha too, he has become the shining face of new and young MPs. He raises the voice of Saharanpur and western Uttar Pradesh in the Lok Sabha with full force. Chandrashekhar has become a vocal voice in Delhi for the exploited, oppressed, Dalit and struggling people. Like Chandrashekhar, the year 2024 was a very successful year for the young Chandan Chauhan, who emerged as the third generation of a big political family of Muzaffarnagar. In the 1970s, Chaudhary Narayan Singh, who belonged to the prominent farmer Gurjar community of western Uttar Pradesh, started a long innings with farmer messiah Chaudhary Charan Singh. He was the first big politician of Uttar Pradesh to become Deputy Chief Minister in the Chief Ministerial government of Babu Banarasi Das Gupta in Uttar Pradesh. Chandan Chauhan's father late Sanjay Chauhan has also been an MLA and MP. Among the major farmer communities in the politics of western Uttar Pradesh, Gurjars along with Jats have equal importance. Chandan Chauhan is currently the most prominent young face of this community. Along with his attractive personality, he is also an excellent parliamentarian, speaker and political and social worker. In this way, the last year 2024 has given two hopeful young MPs in the form of Chandrashekhar and Chandan Chauhan.
